Tonsai Village & Pier
The island’s main village, packed with hotels, hostels and guesthouses between the pier and the viewpoint trail. Ferries from Phuket and Krabi arrive at Tonsai Pier, and the car-free lanes behind it are where most guesthouses are. If you are staying near the pier or on the way up to the viewpoint, a nurse can usually walk to you.
Loh Dalum Bay
The beach on the north side of the village, home to beachfront resorts, bungalows and the famous bar strip. Loh Dalum is a short walk across the village from Tonsai. It is the centre of Phi Phi nightlife, with beach bars and fire shows, so it is where most of our morning-after hangover visits happen.
Long Beach (Hat Yao)
Quiet resorts and bungalows along the south-east coast with views of Phi Phi Leh. Long Beach is a short longtail ride from Tonsai, or a walk along the coastal path. Travel time depends on boats and the sea, so we confirm an arrival time when you book.
Laem Tong
The northern tip of Phi Phi Don, home to larger beach resorts and a small sea-gypsy village. Laem Tong is on the far north of the island and only practical by boat, so visits here take longer to arrange. Booking a little ahead helps, especially for groups.
Loh Bagao & Pak Nam
Secluded resorts on the north-east coast, away from the busy village. These bays are reached by boat from Tonsai. Many resorts here run their own boats too, and your reception can help with the pick-up point.
Boats & yachts
Anchored in Tonsai or Loh Dalum bay, or on a private charter close to the island. Send us a map pin and the boat’s name. We come out by longtail when the sea is calm enough to treat you safely on board; in rough water we may suggest meeting on shore instead.
Getting to you
On foot and by longtail boat
There are no cars on Koh Phi Phi. In Tonsai Village and Loh Dalum our nurses walk to you, usually arriving within 30–60 minutes. For Long Beach, Laem Tong, Loh Bagao and boats we travel by longtail, so it can take a little longer.
