Travel health on Phi Phi
Our guides
Phi Phi Don is a small island with no roads, a lot of sun and a famous nightlife. These guides answer the questions our nurses hear most from guests.
How we write them
Practical, local and honest
Every guide is written for travellers on Koh Phi Phi, with real places, real distances and the things you can actually buy on the island. We explain what you can safely handle yourself, what a mobile IV drip can and can’t help with, and when you should skip us and see a doctor straight away.
We don’t give medication doses or diagnoses online. If you are unsure, message us on WhatsApp and a nurse will tell you honestly whether a drip, a pharmacy visit or a clinic is the right next step.
In an emergency, call 1669
Chest pain, trouble breathing, confusion, a seizure, heavy bleeding, a serious injury or someone you can’t wake up are emergencies. Call 1669 (Thailand emergency medical services) straight away. For the tourist police, call 1155.
Feeling rough? Help is one message away.
